SIOUX CITY | Patricia G. Davidson, 82, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. until service time service time Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Patricia, the daughter of Melvin and Gwendolyn (Pontious) Rich, was born on Nov. 13, 1931, in Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School in 1950.

Patricia married Richard Davidson in January 1953. They later divorced. Patricia was a deputy sheriff with the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 1994.

She enjoyed many golf vacations with her friends and gardening. She volunteered her time teaching Sunday School, as a Cub Scout leader, and a baseball coach.

Patricia is survived by four children, Barry Davidson of Minneapolis, Brad (Darlys) Davidson of Elk Point, S.D., Molly Woodard of Victoria, Minn., and Mari (Randy) Farland of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Melvin Vermillion; infant son, Robert; and son-in-law, Mark A. Hanson
