ANTHON, Iowa | Dan Uhl of Anthon left a life he loved and entered his eternal home with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2014.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dan was born on Dec. 8 to Marshall and Sheryl Uhl of Danbury, Iowa. He lived his entire life in the Danbury and Anthon area.

Dan was united in marriage to Nancy Sauser on Sept. 12, 1998. They celebrated everyday they were allowed to share together.

Dan loved the outside, hunting, tending the land, caring for livestock and performing dirt work. He also loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish Dan's memory are his wife, Nancy; his parents, Marshall and Sheryl; his siblings, Kirk and family, Connie and Charlie, Kim and family, Mike and Kysa, Dena and family, Mandy and Ali; his father- and mother-in-law, Mike and Beth Sauser; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mickey and Mag, Heidi and Jerome Vittetoe, Kathleen, Laura and Terry Nims, and Linda and Matt Moroney; nieces and nephews, Rachel and Dan Berdo, and children, Sarah, Tess, Grant and Jake, Amanda and Troy Adam, and their children, Levi and Luke, Justin, Brett and Mckenzie Sauser, Avery and Carly Nims, and Olivia and Mason Moroney.

Dan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marion and Howard Smith; a cousin, Brad Smith; paternal grandparents, George and Elizabeth Uhl; great-uncles, Leonard and Vernon Smith; other aunts and uncles; a brother-in-law, Greg Schroeder; and an infant child.

His smile, sense of humor, and loving spirit will be missed by those who had the chance to know him
