SIOUX CITY | Vincent Roger Hansel, 66, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, in Wichita, Kan., following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Services will be 6 p.m. Monday at 1201 W. Clifton Ave. in Sioux City.

Vincent Roger Hansel was born in Sioux City on Aug. 8, 1948, to Mildred and Darrell Hansel. He worked at many box factories around Sioux City and AMI Metals in Wichita.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. His hobbies were fishing and golf and he took pleasure in life.

He is survived by his sisters, Molly Wetzbarger and Kim (Rick) Byrne; brothers, Tom (Sherrie) Hansel and Robbie (Vicki) Hansel; sons, Shane (Melanie) Hansel, and Heath (Erin) Hansel; a daughter, Rebbel (Brian) Henningfeld; a stepson, Victor Johnson; grandchildren, Jace and Jordan Henningfeld, Timothy, Tyler, Kaytlynn, Kimberly, Thomas, and Kelsey Hansel, Mason Hetrick, Madeline Ankrum, and Maddox Hansel; and great-grandchild, Hayden Hein.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patricia and Phyllis Hansel, Janiene Paulson, and Beverly Kelly; and brothers, Jack and Jerry Hansel.

He will be missed.
