SIOUX CITY | June F. Hebert, 88, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at a local care facility.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will one hour prior to the services. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com.

June was born the daughter of William and Myrtle (Bristow) Anderson on Feb. 14, 1926, in Sioux City. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Central High School.

June married William Horsley on Nov. 24, 1943. The couple later divorced. She married Earl J. Hebert on July 15, 1959, in Arnolds Park, Iowa.

June was one of the first school aides for Grant school, a job she enjoyed from 1969 until her retirement in 1987.

She loved genealogy, crocheting, and attending her children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

June is survived by two daughters, Gloria (Jim) McCrystal of Sioux City, and Lynette (Gary) Blanchard of Hinton, Iowa; one sister, Phyllis Johnson of Merrill, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Jill (Tim) Travis, Jackie McCrystal, Jim (Leah) McCrystal Jr., Jennifer (Bill) Nice, Adrienne (Aaron) Munkvold, Carrie Blanchard, and Nora (Adam) Girard; 11 great-grandchildren; and her many friends at Whispering Creek Active Retirement Community, where she lived for the past several years until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; two brothers, Richard and William Anderson; and two sisters, Jeanette Huigens and Mona Van Meter.
