James A. McNab 1867 - 1938

A retired salesman and farmer, James A. McNab, 71, died unexpectedly Wednesday night in his home, 706 Isabella, after a heart attack. He had been a resident of Sioux City the last 13 years.
Christy's funeral home, 711 Myrtle, is in charge.

Mr. McNab was born at Fairbury, III., July 20, 1867. At the age of 20 he moved to Chicago. Later he resided at Blairsburg, Ia., and Harris, Ia., where he stayed 15 years before moving to Sioux City. He was affiliated with the Congregational church at Blairsburg and the I. 0. 0. F. lodge at Harris. He married Miss Gertrude Weiss at Williams, Ia., March 28, 1894. His eldest son, Archie, died 11 years ago.

Survivors include the widow; four sons, James A., Jr., of Audubon, Minn., Donald of San Francisco. and Lawrence and Arnold, both of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. C.A. Kness of Bolivar, Mo., Mrs. S. R. King of Sioux City, and Mrs. S.D. Grinde of Estherville, Ia., and 16 grandchildren.
