A former Sioux City school teacher, Mrs. Esther Vanderhule Lewis, wife of Rev. C. P. Lewis, died Tuesday in Philadelphia, after a long illness.

Mrs. Lewis was born at Yankton, S. D. She taught in East junior school here in 1928, 1929 and 1930, before her marriage.

The body was taken to Yankton for services and burial.

Survivors include the widower; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Vanderhule of Yankton; two children, a son, 2, and a daughter, 7, of Philadelphia, and a sister, Miss Ruth Vanderhule of Yankton.
