Olaf Nystrom Dies in Chicago at the Age of 79 Years

Olaf F. Nystrom, former Sioux City grocer, died March 25 at his home at Chicago, according to word received here Tuesday. He was 79 years old.

Mr. Nystrom resided in Sioux City for 57 years and during that time formed a wide circle of friends. He was part owner of the old Wadhams & Nystrom grocery at 923 Fourth street from 1880 until early in the 90s.

Early in the century he served two terms as Woodbury county supervisor. Five years ago he moved to Chicago to make his home with a daughter.

Mr. Nystrom was born In Sweden and came directly to Sioux City on his arrival in this country. In addition to his daughter, he is survived by a son, Arthur, in Texas. Burial took place in Chicago.
