DEATH CLAIMS RABBI BRAVER
Pastor of Two Sioux City Congregations Succumbs
The pastor of Adath Yeshurum and Tiphereth Israel congregations in Sioux City, Rabbi M. I. Braver, 1117 Tenth street, died Sunday night following a short sickness.
Rabbi Braver, who had been pastor of the two Sioux City congregations for the last 12 years, had been suffering with a cold for two days. Late Sunday afternoon his condition became serious and he was taken to a hospital, where he died two hours later.
A rabbi of the Orthodox Jewish church, Rabbi Braver was a member of the executive committee of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of America and vice president of the Midwest Association of Rabbis. Rabbi Braver was a contributor to rabbinical periodicals and the author of a number of manuscripts on Talmudic law which soon will be published.
Born in Lithuania 63 years ago, Rabbi Braver was educated in that country and served as rabbi there, He came to the United States 15 years ago and served as a pastor in Beaver Falls, Pa., before coming to Sioux City.
Besides his widow, Sarah, Rabbi Braver is survived by two sons, Rabbi Jehudah Braver, chief rabbi of greater Kansas City, Mo., and Rabbi Hirsch Braver, author of legal books, of South Bend, Ind., and a daughter, Miss Libby Braver of Sioux City.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The body is at the home
