Robert L. "Bob" Ray, 76, Fresno, Calif., a former Sioux City resident, died Monday, Sept. 23 1996.

Services will be at noon Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fresno with burial at St. Peters Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, with a rosary at 4 p.m., at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel in Fresno.

Mr. Ray was born in 1920 in Alexandria, La., and moved to Sioux City as a child.

He served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
He returned to Iowa and married his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann. The family moved to Fresno in 1965, where he joined Ray Brothers Transportation as a partner.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Julie D'Angelo, Marcia Shaw, Jennifer McColl and Monica Lovgren; four sons, Gregory, Jeffrey, Brian and Mark; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Bernadine Regan, and three brothers, Glenn, Harold and Joseph.
