26 May 1988Funeral Services Held Monday For Fred J. Kamm
Funeral services for Fred J. Kamm, 64, of Lawton, were held Monday, May 23, 1988 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville. The Rev. Roger Semmler officiated. Interment was in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, under the direction of the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.
Betty Rhue was organist. Congregational Hymns were "How Great Thou Art" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me." Casket-bearers were Messrs. Leslie Benson, Wallace Rundall, Wallace Sorensen, Arlen Zenor, Harold Grohs and Charles Corbin.
Mr. Kamm was born June 7, 1923 in Sioux City, the son of Fred A. and Emma Ruhaak Kamm. He attended rural grade school in Woodbury County and graduated from Climbing Hill High School in 1941. He married Colleen Rasmussen December 10, 1964.
He farmed in the Anthon area and moved to the Moville-Lawton area in 1945 and 1949 respectively. He was at the present time still engaged in farming with his family at rural Lawton.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville.
Mr. Kamm died Thursday May 19, 1988 at his home after a short illness.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Fred C., LeAnn, and John Kamm, all of Lawton; his mother Emma Kamm of Lawton; and two sisters, Mrs. Darrel (Norma) Sulsberger of Climbing Hill and Mrs. Elaine Garvey of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his father.
