Isabel H. Jacobsen, 95, 4103 Perry Way, died Sunday, July 24, 1988, at her residence after a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel with the Rev. Frederick Lubs of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jacobsen, the former Isabel Helen Bortle, was born June 15, 1893, in Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School and was a life-long Sioux City resident. She married Harold A. Jacobsen Dec. 24, 1917, in Sioux City. Mr. Jacobsen, former chairman of the board of Sioux Tools, died April 20, 1972, in Sioux City.
Mrs. Jacobsen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Trinity Guild. She was a 50-year member of Rose Croix Chapter 400 Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Chapter GR PEO, Sioux City Symphony Orchestra Association, St. Luke's Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and Abu Bekr Shrine Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Donald E. Jacobsen of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Thomas E. Jacobsen of Sitka, Alaska, Anne Jacobsen of Sioux City, Margo Flanigan of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Robert Jacobsen of Los Angeles, Holly Sales of Sioux City, Alex Jacobsen of Denver and Andrew Jacobsen of Santa Monica, Calif., and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Eugene Jacobsen.
A memorial has been established in her name with Trinity Lutheran Church.
