Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Lillian D. Schwarz

Funeral services for Lillian D. Schwarz, 61, of rural Moville were held Tuesday, October 24, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Climbing Hill. Rev. Glenn Rachuy officiated. Interment was in Westfork Township Cemetery in Climbing Hill under the direction of the Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Roger Hladik, soloist, sang "On Eagles Wings." Laura Neldeberg was organist.

Casket-barers were Messrs. Donald Kamm, Al Vaaske, Donald Cassens, Darrel Krueger, Roger Sulsberger and Richard Janssen.

Mrs. Schwarz was born January 19, 1934, in Sioux City, the daughter of Daycleth and Birdie (Murnan) Walker. She graduated from Moville High School in 1952. She married Henry Schwarz Jr. May 21, 1953, in Moville. She was a partner for five years in Home Cleaning Service. She also worked as a dietitian at the Woodbury County Homestead.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church; past Sunday school, superintendent, church secretary for 22 years; member of the Lutheran Service Auxiliary and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She had served on the Care Review Board at the Woodbury County Home.

Mrs. Schwarz died Sunday, October 22, 1995 at her home.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Steve Heeren of Moville; three sons, Kevin of Denver, Colo., Ken and his wife, Julie of Des Moines and Alan and his wife, Tammy of Boone; a brother and his wife, Maynard and Evelyn Walker of Kimberling City, Mo.; two sisters and their husbands, LaVonne and Ike Van Maanen of Mesa, Arizona, and Grayce and Dwaine Vittitoe of Missouri Valley; two sisters-in-law, Rosina Walker of Moville and Adah Walker of Sioux Falls, S.D.; five grandchildren, Brandi, Kelly, Abby, Nicole, and Allie.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tracy Steven Heeren; two brothers, Vern and Edward; and two sisters, Phyllis Mahoney and Violet Schleef.
