BRONSON, Iowa — Roberta E. Miller, 41, of Bronson died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1989, in a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered in a car accident near Bronson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. The Rev. Neil Rippey, pastor of Free Methodist Church will officiate. The body will be cremated and burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today with the family present from 7-9 funeral home.
Mrs. Miller, the former Roberta Elaine Allison, was born Oct. 3, 1948, in Sioux City, the daughter of Joseph A. Sr. and Alice M. (Heaton) Allison. She graduated from Central High School in 1967 and attended Western Iowa Tech Community College. She married Duane E. Miller in July 1986 in South Dakota. She was a longtime bartender at the Eagles Lodge and had worked at various restaurants. For the last four years, she had been a shift manager at the Southern Hills Pizza Hut.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Free Methodist Church and Eagles Lodge Aerie 77.
Survivors include her husband; a son, William Worrell of Sioux City; two daughters, Susan Worrell of Sioux City and Mrs. James (Melissa) Cooley of Moville; her mother, Mrs. Alice Allison of Sioux City; four brothers, Michael Rudder of Lawton, William Allison of Climbing Hill, and Joseph Jr. and Thomas Allison, both of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph A. Allison Sr.
