Funeral Services Held Saturday For Lance L. Saxen
Funeral services for Lance L. "Lanny" Saxen, 20, of Correctionville, were held Saturday, August 23, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. in the Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville. The Rev. Kermit Gladfelder officiated. Interment was in Sunset View Cemetery in Washta under the direction of the Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley.
Mrs. Jeff Henderson, soloist, sang "How Great Thou Art." Mrs. Lawrence Camarigg was organist.
Casket-bearers were Messrs. Jeff Ketelsen, Joe Welch, Tim McCormick, Kerry Rabbass, Cohn Eickholt and Kelly Pry.
Mr. Saxen was born April 20, 1966, in Sioux City. He grew up in Correctionville where he attended Eastwood Community School. He worked for Oto Grain Co.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Mr. Saxen died Thursday, August 21, 1986 in a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered in an auto accident near Correctionville on August 9.
Survivors include a son, Timothy James, his mother, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Chinn, and his father, Wendell Saxen, all of Pierson; one sister, Marie Saxen of Spencer; three brothers, Blake Saxen, David and Andy Kleespies, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Irwin, all of Correctionville.
