Floyd C. "Pete" Pedersen, 58, 1201 S. Fairmount St., formerly of Anthon, Iowa, died Thursday at a Sioux City hospital of short illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon. The Rev. J.G. Skahill will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mr. Pedersen was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Sioux City. He was reared in the Climbing Hill area where he attended school.

He lived in Sioux City until his marriage to Cecile Marie Parks Jan. 19, 1941, in Dakota City, Neb. The couple lived in the Moville vicinity until 1945 when they moved to a farm near Anthon. Mrs. Pedersen died in June of 1972. He moved to Sioux City in 1973.

In addition to farming, he worked for Swift's packing plant in Sioux City since 1947.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry of Moville and Terry of Sioux City; two brothers, Elmer of Pierson and Clifford of Moville; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Daisy) Powell of San Diego, Calif. and Mrs. Lee (Lily) Morten of Yarba Linda, Calif. and five grandchildren.
