Funeral Services Held Saturday For Clay V. Beymer
Funeral services for Clay V. Beymer, 87, of Lawton, were held Saturday, July 1, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton.
Chaplain Marvin Suhr officiated. Interment was in
Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City under the direction of the Christy Morningside Funeral Home in Sioux City.Special music was by Beverly Zenor "The Old Rugged Cross."
Casketbearers were Messrs. Don Kamm, Lawrence Blackmore, Robert Trometer, Lloyd Wieck, Walt Roehrich and William Goodwin Jr.
Mr. Beymer was born February 11, 1902 at Fonda. He was raised in Hornick. On November 15, 1920 he took over a rural mail route in Lawton. He married the former Charlotte Kamm in Sioux City, January 29, 1927. After he retired from his postal route in 1969, he Worked as a security guard at the Sioux City Stockyards.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Rural Mail Carriers Association.
Mr. Beymer died Wednesday June 28, 1989 at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City following a long illness.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
