Funeral Services Held Wed. For Myrtle Petersen
Funeral services for Myrtle M. Petersen, 79, of Sioux City, formerly of Moville, were held Wednesday, May 1, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kingsley Baptist Church in Kingsley. The Rev. Barry T. Armitage officiated. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, under the direction of the McCulloch-Wavrin Funeral Home of Moville.
Mrs. Ben Pratt was soloist and organist.
Casket-bearers were Messrs. Bruce and Richard Leibert, Richard, Bennett, Gary and Duane Devall.
Mrs. Petersen, the former Myrtle Harrison, was born April 2, 1906, in O'Neill, Nebraska and attended rural schools in the O'Neill area. She married Orville Petersen June 14, 1934, at Butte, Nebraska. They lived in the O'Neill area until 1966 when they moved to the Kingsley-Moville area.
She was a member of the Kingsley Baptist Church.
Mrs. Petersen died Sunday, April 28, 1985 in a nursing home in Sioux City of long illness.Survivors include her husband of Moville; one son, Marvin Korab of West Preston, California; two daughters, Leorne Korab Leibert of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Janet Rivera of Sioux City; one sister, Dorothy Devall of O'Neill; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
