Funeral Services Held Monday For Charles Harderson
Funeral services for Charles J. Harderson, 76, of Climbing Hill, were held Monday, July 14, 1986 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Climbing Hill. Chaplain Marvin Suhr officiated. Interment was in Westfork Cemetery, Climbing Hill, under the direction of the McCulloch-Wavrin Funeral Home of Moville.
Laura Carlson, organist, accompanied Congregational Hymns "Rock of Ages" and "The Old Rugged Cross."
Casket-bearers were Messrs. Henry Paulsen Jr., Paul Paulsen Jr., Walter Paulsen, Jerry Meyer, Fred Nichols and Whitey Sulsberger.
Mr. Harderson was born March 25, 1910, in Sterling, Illinois, the son of John and Emma Seifert Harderson. He had lived in Oto and Smithland, and lived most of his life in Climbing Hill. He was a produce dealer until retiring in 1965. He then worked as an aide for the Woodbury County Care Facility from 1965-1976.
He married Dora P. Burow on June 11, 1942, in Dakota City, Nebraska. She preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.Mr. Harderson died Friday, July 11, 1986 at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City of long illness.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis L. of Climbing Hill, and Charles F. of Corning; two sisters, Louise Haakinson of Sloan, and Helen Harderson of Richmond, California; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dora.
