Funeral Services Held Monday For Vernon Weinreich

Vernon H. Weinreich, 77, of Pierson, died Friday, July 10, 1987 at a Sioux City hospital following a long illness.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, 1987 at the Christian Church in Pierson with the Rev. Leslie Larson officiating. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Correctionville.

Mr. Weinreich was born November 2, 1909, at Pierson and attended rural and public schools. He married Irma Elizabeth Florke on September 10, 1940, in Dakota City and the couple farmed south of Pierson. He entered Matney Morningside Manor in 1985.

He was a member of the Christian Church of Pierson.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Val of Remsen and Chris of Pierson; a brother, Clarence of Kingsley, and two grandchildren.
