MOVILLE, Iowa — Alvin "Cy" Hansen, 82, of Moville died Thursday in Colonial Manor at Correctionville after long illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in McCulloch-Wavrin Funeral Home in Moville. The Rev.John Nye will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Mr. Hansen was born Sept. 10, 1903 in Rodney. He married Blanche Ellen Allen Sept. 13, 1924, in Sioux City. He farmed in Onawa until 1942 and then moved with his family to Lincoln Acres, Calif., where he worked at Rohr Aircraft Corp. He returned to Iowa in 1945 and farmed near Moville until 1950. Mrs. Hansen died July 7, 1949, in Moville. He bought a recreation hall in Moville which he operated until his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Allen of Wayne, Neb., and Ronald of Redding, Calif., a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Donna) Bleil of Moville; a brother, Russell of Lacey, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren
