Funeral Services Held For Mabel C. Cox
Mabel C. Cox, 87, of Bronson, died Thursday, March 28, 1985 in a Sioux City hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services were at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 1985 in Elliot Creek Presbyterian Church at Bronson. The Rev. Dr. Robert E. Peters, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City under the direction of the Christy Morningside Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cox, the former Mabel C. Beckman, was born March 8, 1898, in Woodbine. She married Ernest Henry Cox June 22, 1918, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
They lived in Rolfe until 1941 when they moved to Sioux City. They moved to California in 1952 and retired to Bronson in 1963.
She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Tom of Sylmar, California, and Donald of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters; Mrs. Claude (Vivian) Smith, and Mrs. Loren (Virginia) Lewis, both of Bronson; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
