Thomas W. Dennis, 81, 2516 S. Steele St., retired telephone company foreman, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1988, in a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Terrance O. Webster officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7, at Christy Morningside Funeral Home.

Mr. Dennis was born May 4, 1907, in Blencoe, Iowa. He was raised in Blencoe and attended grade school and high school in Little Sioux, Iowa. He was a foreman at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 401/2 years, retiring May 5, 1967. He married Ellen Bayne March 4, 1982.

Mr. Dennis was a member of Telephone Pioneers, Westminster Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of Morningside Masonic Lodge 615 and Kiwanis Club of South Sioux City.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carroll Dennis of Rapid City, S.D., and Donald Bayne of Smith Sioux City; four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Curl of Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Mrs. Judith Miller of Sioux City, Mrs. Donna Outhouse of South Sioux City and Mrs. Dorothy Madsen of Jackson, Neb.; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
