30 September 1988Patrick M. Beacom, 44, of LaVergne, Tenn., former Sioux City resident, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 1988, in LaVergne of an apparent heart attack.
Services and burial were Tuesday in Smyrna, Tenn. under direction of Woodfin Funeral Home.
Mr. Beacom was born May 5, 1944, in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1962. He married Betty Farmer June 6, 1966, in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Tennessee where he was employed as an auditor for the state of Tennessee.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Robert and Michael Victor Beacom, both of LaVergne; his mother, Mrs. Ruby Beacom of Sioux City; six brothers, Henry B. Beacom Jr. of Lakeland, Fla. and Tom, Mark, Don, Jim and Bob Beacom, all of Sioux City, and a sister, Mrs. Marilyn Whitson of Tulsa, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Beacom.
A memorial has been established in his name with the Alzheimer's Support Group of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
