Ellsworth Bryant, 84, a resident of Sioux City for the last 45 years, died Tuesday at his home, 311 George street, after an illness of a year.

Mr. Bryant was born July 11, 1861, at Elburn, Ill.

Surviving are the widow, Lucinda; two sons, Charles of St. Louis and Forbes of La Fox, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. R. E. Rider and Miss Alma Bryant, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. F. A. Bower of Oakland, Cal.

The funeral will be held at 11 a. m. Friday in the Rutledge chapel. Rev. Clem Evans will officiate and interment will be in the family lot in the Magnolia, Ia., cemetery.
