Joseph E. Pilcher, 62, 1510 Court St., died Friday, Jan. 12, 1990, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home with the Rev. James Pointer, pastor of Sioux City Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday in the funeral home.
Mr. Pilcher was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Milo, Mo. He attended schools in Milo, Mo. and Hornick and Holly Springs, Iowa. He married Francis Olson May 17, 1946. He married Mabel Titus Sept. 6, 1958. She died in 1975. He worked at the Central West Ice Plant, Palmer Candy Company and Imperial Oil Company for many years.
Mr. Pilcher was a member of Sioux City Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and LeAnn Pilcher of Faribault, Minn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and John Pfiel of New Prague, Minn.; three stepsons and their wives, Robert and Mary Thompson, Arnie and Sue Thompson and Richard and Julie Shearn, all of Sioux City; a stepdaughter and her husband, Barbara and Virgil Reed of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Beulah) Onnen of Hornick, Iowa, and Mrs. Milford (Faye) Menard of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special campanion, Delores Townsley and her family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and a sister.
