Edgar A. Lester, 64, 1314 Hill avenue, a resident of Sioux City for eight years, died in a hospital here Tuesday evening.

Mr. Lester was born August 25, 1881, at Beckett, Mass. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and 0. E. S. at Cottonwood, Minn., and Sioux City Consistory No. 5. He also belonged to the Order of Railroad Telegraphers.

He had been a telegraph operator for the Great Northern railroad for 22 years.

Survivors include the widow, Fannie; a daughter, Mrs. L. E. Haislet of Sioux City, and one brother, Charles D. Fales of Ithaca, N. Y.

The body is at the Larkin funeral home pending completion of arrangements.
