30 March 1946Philip ("Phil") Kalin, 52-year-old meat distributor, died Friday afternoon at his home, 413 26th street, after a brief illness.
Mr. Kalin was born February 18, 1894, in Russia, and came to Sioux City in 1912. His wife died January 3, 1946.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Blossom Hinchin of Sioux City; a son, Stanton L. of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Skolovsky of Odebolt, Ia., and Mrs. Mollie Wolff of Dorchester, Mass.; and four brothers, Jake and Ben, both of Sioux City, Saul of Alberta, Can., and Herman of Fort Worth, Tex.
The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Sunday in Mount Sinai temple. Rabbi Albert Gordon will officiate and interment will be in Floyd cemetery.
The body will remain in the Perasso Bros. chapel until time of services.
