28 December 2003DANBURY, Iowa -- Raymond B. Weber, 81, of Danbury died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Willow Dale Wellness Village in Battle Creek, Iowa.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, with the Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial will be in Danbury Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday, with a vigil wake service at 7 p.m., at the church. Visitation will resume 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa.
Raymond Bernard Weber was born Feb. 24, 1922, on the family farm northwest of Danbury to John and Anna (Kleine) Weber. He lived and farmed northwest of Danbury until he retired and moved to Danbury in 1996.
He entered Willow Dale Wellness Village on March 5, 2003. Raymond was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury.
On May 28, 1945, Raymond married Rita Schoenherr in Mapleton, Iowa. Rita died March 11, 1965, in a car accident. He married Marian R. Petrositch on May 8, 1970, in Danbury. Marian died May 23, 2002, after a lengthy illness.
Those survivors left to cherish Ray's memory include his children, John "Jack" Weber and his wife, Barb of Ida Grove, Iowa, Jane Lansink and her husband, James of Ida Grove, Dennis Weber and his wife, Peggy of Mapleton, Joseph Weber and his wife, Linda of West Point, Neb., and Mary Boysen and her husband, Tony of Ida Grove; a stepdaughter, Michaela Orr of Casper, Wyo.; 15 grandchildren, Kevin Weber and his wife, Keri, Angela Weber and her husband, Walter, Denise Weber, Stacie Lansink, Brad Lansink, Darin Lansink, Brett Weber and his wife, Michelle, Erin Weber, Bart Weber, Brian Ludwig, Brenda Weber, Nathan Boysen and his fiancee, Kristin, Amber Boysen, Kyle Boysen and Darek Boysen; a step-grandchild, Tabetha Orr; six great-grandchildren, Kirstin and Kylee Weber, Shelby Weber, Tyler Rehse, Lexi Weber and Skylar Goslar; two brothers and their wives, Leo and Helen Weber and Vernal and Evonne Weber, all of Mapleton; five sisters, Irma Sokolowski and her husband, Jim of Danbury, Iowa,
Helen Thiel and her husband, Tom of Renton, Wash., Carole Barkley and her husband, Jim of Sioux City, Alice Weber of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Martha Halloran of Chatfield, Minn.; along with other relatives, neighbors and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by Rita and Marian; his parents; two brothers, James and Donald "Bud"; and two sisters, Mary Ann Schoenherr and Lois Seuntjens.
