Mary E. Hollister, 50, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.

Private family services were held in Sioux City. There will be no visitation. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mary E. Hollister was born Oct. 13, 1953, in Sioux City, the daughter of Marion and Edna (Johnson) Hollister. Mary was raised by her mother for 47 years, until the last three, when she became a resident of Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab.

Survivors include her mother, Edna of Sioux City; two sisters, Wanda Ruhrer and her husband, Ron of Sioux City, and Rita Card of Omaha, Neb.; her twin brother, Terry Hollister and his wife, Karen of Ottumwa, Iowa; two nieces; and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marion in 1964
