Helen Mae Junod, 76, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jon Gaul officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Helen Mae Junod was born Feb. 20, 1927, at Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth Clay and Zita Helen (Schutts) Jones.

She married Robert Junod on July 2, 1950, in Des Moines. Mr. Junod died in 1996. Mrs. Junod was employed by Sioux City Public Schools.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Parent Teacher Association.

Survivors include her mother, Zita Helen of Des Moines; two daughters, Sharon (Junod) McKimpson and her husband, Raymond of Norwalk, Iowa, and Suzanne (Junod) Martz and her husband, Brian of Urbandale, Iowa; three sons and their wives, Stanley and Patricia Junod of Ankeny, Iowa, Steven and Denise Junod of Ankeny, and Scott and Susanne Junod of No. Canton, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Maynard Junod; and a sister, Shirley Cloud.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Junod, Steven Junod, Scott Junod, William Junod, Brian Martz and Raymond McKimpson
