DANBURY, Iowa -- Barbara Beatrice Larson, 54, of Danbury died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital after she was stricken at her home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Larkin Morningside Funeral Home, with Randy Gotto of the Onawa congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today and will resume at noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Barbara was born on Dec. 23, 1949, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Robert and Florence (Roush) Carrell. She was raised in the Moville-Climbing Hill area. She graduated from Moville High School in 1968.

On May 25, 1968, she married Lester Larson in Oto, Iowa. She lived in the Danbury area after her marriage and was currently working as a manager and cashier for the Country Store in Smithland, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Lester of Danbury; two brothers and their wives, Marvin and Ruth Carrell of Sioux City, and Roy and Patty Carrell of Sioux City; five sisters, Joyce and her husband, Phil Sanderson of Hornick, Iowa, Arlene Plummer of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Bonnie and her husband, Alex Johnson of Hornick, Karen and her husband, Kenny Snyder of Sioux City, and Sharen and her husband, Bill Leaverton of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
