Darlene I. Boone, 85, of Sioux City died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Moes of Morningside Reformed Church officiating. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Darlene was born July 3, 1918, in Jefferson, S.D., to Leo and Iva (Morin) Yerter. She attended and graduated from Elk Point (S.D.) schools. She moved to Sioux City in 1942 and was employed in the office at Salsness Buick. She later worked in sales at Motor Parts Central.

She married Noel Boone on July 8, 1949, in Walnut Ridge, Ark. Noel passed away Jan. 25, 1987, in Sioux City.

She was a member of Morningside Reformed Church and Order of the Eastern Star Rose Croix Chapter 400.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen A. Boone and Kathy L. Boone, both of Sioux City; and several cousins.
