Shaun C. "Legs" Silzer, 38, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at the home of a friend in Sioux City.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Tom Jacobs officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Shaun was born Aug. 8, 1965, in Omaha, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Pyle) Silzer. She moved to Sioux City with her family when she was one and one half years old. She had lived here ever since. She graduated from North High School in 1983.

She loved animals and playing horseshoes. She was a frequenter of Terry's Tap and Steinbeck's Pub.

She is survived by five sisters, Stephanie Inman of Toledo Ohio, Judi and her husband, Gary Andersen, of Plymouth, Minn., Jerri and her husband, Gary Gilman, of Drain, Ore., Virginia and her husband, Stanley Cox, of Sergeant Bluff, and Mary and her husband, Ron Haddock, of Omaha; three brothers, James Collier and his wife, Sally, of Sioux City, Everett Collier and his wife, Anita, of Le Mars, Iowa, and Robert Silzer of Omaha; her significant other, Jan Wiese of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
