16 December 2003Maxine Jimison, 82, former longtime Sioux City resident, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in Pueblo, Colo.
Private memorial services were held Dec. 8 at Calvary Church in Pueblo.
Maxine was born May 10, 1921, in Plattsmouth, Neb. She was a gentle soul who loved dancing, playing cards, golf, video poker, puzzles, spending time with family and sightseeing in the mountains.
She spent many years helping her husband design and decorate the many homes he built in Sioux City, exhibiting a talent for taste and beauty. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by three children, Douglas (Carole) Jimison of Pueblo, Nicki (Bill) Davidson of Overland Park, Kan., and Sherri (Tom) Kochen of Pueblo; two brothers, Elwood (Fern) Buttery of McAlester, Okla., and Bill (Pat) Buttery of Irving, Texas; a sister, Betty Munze of Bella Vista, Ark.; six grandsons, Daryl Jimison, Jeff Davidson, Daryn Jimison, Jason Davidson, Timothy Kochen and Michael Kochen; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Jimison; and her parents, Elwood and Alma Buttery.
