12 December 2003Harold G. "Randy" Randall, 83, of Sioux City went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a fall in his front yard.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Southern Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Mark Hensley and Ray Stallons officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8:30 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Mr. Randall was born Nov. 7, 1920, in Kingston, Mich. He graduated from Kingston High School and furthered his education in structural engineering. A Pearl Harbor survivor, he came to Sioux City in 1945, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps, where he met his future bride, Shirley Spencer. They have resided on Lakeport Road since 1957.
He worked as a specialty contractor. Upon retirement, he worked at Advance Industrial/L&R sharing his skills and willingly teaching younger craftsmen.
He was an active member of Southern Hills Baptist Church, where he served on several committees. His grandchildren were the center of his world and he loved spending time with them, attending worship, gardening and using his carpenter skills on his home and his daughter's homes as well.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley; two daughters and their husbands, Carolyn "Randi" and Jerry Andregg of Chino Hills, Calif., and Shelley and Ken Stallons of Moorhead, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Basil of Kingston, Mich., and Bud of Caro, Mich.; and a sister, Marjorie Terbush of Caro, Mich.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard.
