SERGEANT BLUFF -- Dorothy May Durham, 88, of Sergeant Bluff passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Embassy Nursing and Rehab Center in Sergeant Bluff.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Sergeant Bluff, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Samuelson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Durham was born Dec. 11, 1914, in Sergeant Bluff, the daughter of Edward A. and Dosha (Dule) Camerer. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1932. She was employed by Cook Paint Company in Sioux City as a color stylist for several years.

She married Clarence A. Durham on July 31, 1937, in Sioux City. The couple moved to Omaha and lived there for 38 years. She was employed by both Conie Furs and Aulabaugh Furs as a fur consultant. She also modeled furs at one time. She was an assistant to the Omaha Community Playhouse as costumer for actor Peter Fonda and was involved in other civic affairs.

Clarence passed away April 10, 1976, in Omaha.

She was a member of the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Women's Division. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Sergeant Bluff.

She is survived by a sister, Frances Barker of Napoleon, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Samuel, Adolph, Leonard and Ralph; and three sisters, Mary Schulze, Hannah McKnight and Ethel Camerer.

Pallbearers will be Ron Gibbons, Don Wood, Charles Woodford, Jerry Logemann and Tom Massey.
