Betty J. Millard, 67, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Millard was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Lynch, Neb., the daughter of Harold C. and Mary Elena (Graham) Osborn. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in O'Neill, Neb.

She married James Bert Millard on Dec. 22, 1955, in Lynch. She worked at Bishop's Cafeteria for many years.

She enjoyed quilting, embroidery and her grandsons.

She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Zaida and Stan Sweisberger of Sioux City; her mother, Mary Osborn of Norfolk, Neb.; a sister and her husband, Ruth and Ed West of Hoskins, Neb.; two grandsons and their wives, Travis and Desiree Sweisberger and Mark and Penny Sweisberger; and three great-grandchildren, Chaylee, BreAuna and Justin.

She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Mary Lucille Oleson; and a daughter, Linda Marie Millard.
