LeRoy Gallup, 73, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, Iowa, with the Rev. Karen Handke of Smithland United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mr. Gallup was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Climbing Hill, Iowa, the son of Louis and Alice (Kohlhoff) Gallup. He was raised in Smithland and had always lived in that area. He was currently residing at Mid-Steps Services in Sioux City. He spent most of his life farming with his family, where he learned to appreciate horses.

He enjoyed dancing and painting. He was of the United Methodist faith.

He is survived by his cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard.
