Pauline P. Swan, 79, of Sioux City died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the funeral home. Pauline P. Swan was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Sioux City, the daughter of Harlan and Helen (Teinery) Stone. She graduated from Central High School in 1942.

She married Arlos Swan in Sioux City. He died in May 1990 in Sioux Falls, S.D. She lived most of her life in Sioux City. She worked for many years at Swift & Co. and retired from there.

Survivors include a son, Jon Novak and his wife, Brandi of Sioux City; a daughter, Beverly McDougle and her husband, Dusty of Sioux City; a brother, Jim Stone; a sister-in-law, Beulah Stone of Sioux City; and two special friends, Ron Bledsoe of Jefferson, S.D., and Rochelle Diller of Sioux City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Stone; and a sister, Maxine Stone.
