Carol J. Meyer, 52, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief, unexpected illness.

Private family services will be at a later date, with the Rev. Alex Washington officiating. Burial will be in a Sioux City cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Carol was born April 29, 1951, in Sioux City. She attended and graduated from East High School. She was a lifelong Sioux City resident. She was employed as a secretary for a local law firm, a trucking firm, the city of Sioux City and later she was a homemaker.

She enjoyed nature, birds and flowers.

She is survived by her father, Virgil Meyer of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Char and Joseph Mougin of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; two nephews, Sgt. Randall Mougin of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Richard Mougin of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Muriel (Winterringer) Meyer; her grandparents; and other family members.
