Lorraine M. Michalsky, 80, of Sioux City died Sunday, March 24, 2002, at her residence.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. today at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. John Hantla officiating. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Michalsky was born June 11, 1921, in Omaha, the daughter of C.W. Maurice and Nettie (Moore) Woods. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1940. She was employed as a receptionist in a dental office.

She married Tony Michalsky on Sept. 21, 1946, in South Sioux City. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Tony of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Barbara and Robert McBride of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sons and their wives, Bruce and Mary Ann Michalsky of Akron, Iowa, and John and Cheryl Michalsky of Sergeant Bluff; seven grandchildren, Bob and Chris McBride, Amy Bundy, Briget and Bret Michalsky, Mindy and T.J. Jorgensen; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan McBride and Tyler Bundy.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jorgensen in 1987.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
