9 March 1972Clyde Redmond 69, passed away at the Correctionville Iowa Nursing Home Thursday, February 24, 1972. He had been in failing health for some time.
He was born at Sloan, Iowa on August 3, 1902, the son of Hugh and Amanda McCandless Redmond and had lived at Sloan until moving to Correctionville about 36 years ago. He was a farmer by vocation. He had never married.
Survivors include a number of cousins.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 1972 at the Wood Funeral Chapel in Whiting, Iowa with the Rev. Everett Epperson officiating.
Bearers were Lloyd Godsey, William McCandless, Lowell McCandless, Gale Redmond, Marvin Redmond and Lowell Redmond. Interment was in the Sloan Cemetery with arrangements by the Wood Funeral Home of Whiting and Sloan.
