SIOUX CITY -- Dawn D. McFadden, 56, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly.

Memorial services will be 5:30 p.m. Monday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with Deacon James Fenceroy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Dawn was born Dec. 7, 1953, to David D. and Marguerite M. (Angerman) McFadden and grew up in Sioux City. She worked for Women Aware and the Community Action Agency.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. Dawn loved to make others laugh and would make up nicknames for everyone. She was the happy soul of the family.

Dawn is survived by one son, Runner Lee Hudson and his significant other, Andrea Lester of Fort Collins, Colo.; one daughter, Raven Miguel McFadden and her significant other, Todd Smith of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Tre, Tyas, Trust, Haley, Tanner and Taylor; five brothers, David McFadden of Sioux City, Robert Altimus of California, Elroy Altimus of Sioux City, Bill Peck of Sioux City, and Carlton McFadden; seven sisters, Roberta O'Brien of California, Marjorie Schumacher of Rosalie, Neb., Sherry Krage and her husband, Jack of Sioux City, Rita Lowe of Sioux City, Sharon Arment of Seattle, Wash., Esther McFadden of Sioux City, and Norma Rudd of Sioux City; many nieces and nephews; and lots of loving friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents.
