SIOUX CITY -- Evelyn Mae Tanberg-Scott a 30-year resident of Sun Valley, Nev., formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2009, at Hearthstone of Nevada.

Services will be at Lord of Mercy Lutheran Church Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at 3400 Pyramid Way Sparks Nev. 89431. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Fernley Veterans Cemetery, so she can be with her beloved husband, Scottie.

Evelyn was born in Sioux City, on Aug. 30 1926, to Chris and Selma Tanberg. She attended Grant Elementary, Woodrow-Wilson Middle School and Central High School in Sioux City. She worked for the Fairmont Creamery, The Weller Co., Wincharger and Mr. Doughnut.

She married Lloyd V. Scott in 1946, they resided in Sioux City until 1970, when they moved the Sun Valley, Nev. Evelyn worked for ARTEX and Shulton Inc. before retiring in 1988.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Lloyd V. Scott Jr. (Charlotte) of Reno, Nev.; son, Gerry Scott (Linda) of Sedalia, Mo.; daughter, Renae Scott-Goade (Felix) of Sun Valley, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Irene Beith of Sparks, Nev., Betty Myer of Reno, Nev.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Selma Tanberg; brothers, Vernon, Clayton and Ronald Tanberg; sisters, Lois Timms and Dorothy Chase; granddaughter, Laurie Kay Scott; and her beloved husband, Lloyd V. "Scottie" Scott Sr.
