8 December 2009SIOUX CITY -- Julia Wilson, 91, formerly of Sioux City passed away Dec. 4, 2009, in Fullerton, Calif., after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born July 30, 1918, in Rice Lake Wis., to Peter and Laura Rolland. They moved to Nebraska. She attended school in Jackson, Neb.
She married Clyde Wilson in Elk Point, S.D., in 1937. She then lived in South Sioux City, Bloomfield, Neb., Norfolk, Neb., Dakota City and Sioux City. She came to California in 1961, from Sioux City, Iowa. Julia was a master tailor. She retired from Disney costuming department in 1984.
She was vice president of the Disney Golden Ears Club 2000 and 2001. She was active with the Golden Ears from 1984 to 2001. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by family and friends. A woman of great faith and involved in her church, she ensured that her children were given a strong religious base and moral conscience.
She is survived by her daughter, Irma Megarit of Oakhurst, Calif.; son, Ronnald of La Habra, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Rifenburg of Des Moines; and brother, Forrest Rolland of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; brother, Chester; sister, Ruby; and brother, Dwayne.
Her family will miss her. She is now in that better place which is prepared for her.
