6 December 2009TUCSON, Ariz. -- Mary Hale Britton Arledge, 70, of Tucson passed away Aug. 2, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson.
Mary was born May 4, 1939, in Sioux City, to Franklin and Robinette (Nafziger) Britton. She graduated from Central High School in 1957. She attended the University of Iowa for two years, where she was affiliated with Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She graduated from the University of South Dakota in June 1961, with a degree in elementary education. In 1960, she was selected Mardi Gras Queen in Sioux City.
Mary married Bill Arledge on Aug. 1, 1964, in Sioux City. For the last several years they have lived in Green Valley, Ariz., and Evans, Wash.
Mary is survived by her husband, Bill; twin daughters, Michelle Boucher and Brittany Benitez; a son, Warren; granddaughter, Brianna; grandson, Britton; and her sister, Martha of Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Connie.
