SIOUX CITY -- Edythe Anders Gohr, 89, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at her home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kenny Hsu and Chaplain Steve Benson officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Edythe was born in Sioux City in 1920. She graduated from Central High School in 1938. She then attended Buena Vista College, earning her teaching certificate. In 1941, she married Albert Anders. He died in 1986. She later married Walter Gohr in 1988. He died in 1994.

Survivors are her children, Bruce (Linda) Anders, Julie (Ron) Schmidt, Brian (Valerie) Anders and Carol (James) Ortery; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special family friends, Kathy Anders and Kathy Anderson.

Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Siouxland or the Good Shepherd Hour.
