Harry R. Fulton, 78, of Seal Beach, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, following a brief illness.

Private services will be held in Sioux City at a later date.

Mr. Fulton was born May 21, 1922, in Armour, S.D. He graduated from East High School and attended Morningside College. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific and at Guadalcanal during World War 11. He belonged to the Methodist Church. He was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masons and Shriners, where he participated in the "clown" unit.

He worked as a business manager for A. Y. McDonald Company for 38 years. In 1986 he and his wife moved to Leisure World. He enjoyed softball, bowling and golf.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John, and a nephew, Sean of Rapid City, S.D.; a daughter, Tai Fulton and her companion, Robert Yemm, of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Frank and his wife, Pearl Fulton of Sioux City; two sisters, Dorothy Cleveland of Shenandoah, Iowa, and Elaine and her husband, Miles Olson, of Las Vegas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, his parents and two nieces.

The family requests donations in his memory be made to the American Heart Association.
