SIOUX CITY | William W. Daniels, 63, of Sioux City died Monday, July 1, 2013, at his residence.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

William "Bill" Daniels was born on Jan. 19, 1950, in Sioux City, to William and Florence (DeWitt) Daniels. He was the sixth of seven children born to this union. Bill received his schooling in Glenwood, Iowa. He returned to Sioux City in 1987. He made his residence at Park View Homes, where he made many friends, some of whom he also worked with at Mid-Step Services Work Activity Center as well as in the kitchen and housekeeping departments at Park View.

Bill was an outgoing, fun individual with many talents and interests. He will always be known for his artistic ability, harmonica and trumpet playing. He was passionate about his drawings. He was an avid kite flyer for many years and enjoyed collecting the medals he won at Special Olympics. He enjoyed Sci-Fi movies and watching the Discovery channel. Bill's smile, laughter and humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by three brothers, Robert Daniels of Sioux City, Alfred Daniels of Sioux City, and Richard Daniels; and a sister, Donna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Elsie Stephan; and a brother, Theodore Daniels.
