SIOUX CITY | Irene L. McPeek, 73, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at her residence.

Abiding by her wishes, the body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merill Muller officiating. Online condolences can be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Irene, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (Eaton) Crawford, was born on March 12, 1940, in Whiting, Iowa. She graduated from Whiting High School in 1958.

Irene married James W. McPeek on Jan. 7, 1962, in Elk Point, S.D. She retired from Interbake Foods.

Irene enjoyed fishing and camping. She loved spending time with friends and family.

Irene is survived by six sons, Brad (Patti) McPeek, Jerry (Theresa) McPeek, Kenny McPeek, Bill (Vickie) McPeek, Larry McPeek, and Mike McPeek; two daughters, Diana (Randy) Coulson and Caroline Beotger; her mother, Ruth; one brother; five sisters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; husband, James; one brother; and one sister.
